Key Highlights of the Tacos Tamix Experience
What sets Tacos Tamix apart in the competitive Los Angeles food truck environment? It boils down to dedication to core principles that elevate simple street food into something truly special. Here are a few aspects that define their appeal:
Commitment to Freshness and Quality Ingredients: The foundation of great Mexican food lies in the quality of its components. Tacos Tamix prioritizes sourcing fresh produce and high-quality meats, ensuring that every element, from the perfectly seasoned fillings to the handmade-style tortillas, contributes to a superior taste profile. This dedication to freshness is palpable in every bite, distinguishing their offerings from mass-produced alternatives.
Authentic Preparation Techniques: The truck honors traditional methods passed down through generations. This means slow-cooked meats, carefully balanced marinades, and a deep respect for the nuances of regional Mexican flavors. This authenticity is what draws in those searching for the real deal, moving beyond standard Tex-Mex interpretations.
Vibrant and Flavorful Salsas: A Mexican food experience is incomplete without exceptional salsa, and Tacos Tamix excels in this area. They offer a range of house-made salsas, each boasting a unique heat level and flavor complexity. These condiments are not afterthoughts; they are integral components designed to perfectly complement the main dishes, allowing customers to customize their heat and zest.
Exceptional Customer Engagement: Operating a food truck inherently fosters a closer relationship with patrons. The team at Tacos Tamix is known for their friendly service and willingness to guide newcomers through the menu, ensuring everyone finds a dish that suits their palate. This warm, approachable atmosphere enhances the overall dining experience.

Absolutely wonderful taco truck, really authentic flavours in every taco. Al pastor some of the best ever, hands down. Clean, fast, cheap, service so friendly and inviting; everyone was having a great time. Busy on the evening we went, worth any amount of waiting! Go and go often. Not to be missed!

Extremely overpriced food. They charge $12-14 for a standard burrito. At those prices, chipotle is cheaper for a bigger burrito or spend a few bucks more and you can have a meal at a real restaurant.
They also charge 15% for using your credit card. This is when I knew they were price gouging and taking advantage of customers.
There are several other food trucks literally down the street on Venice that are 30+% cheaper.
Transparently this is extremely overpriced and I would recommend to the owners to lower their prices as they are charging restaurant prices for standard food truck food.

I really like the pickled spicy onions here. The cheese on the burrito is great as well. Nice little corner under the tent next to gas station. $2 a taco.

This truck offers a wide variety of Mexican food options like tacos, quesadillas, and some beverages too. Veggie quesadilla, chorizo and chicken tacos tasted well too. The price is very affordable. They have additional toppings outside like lemon wedges, cheese, tomato and onion mix, tomatillo sauces. The horchata was also good with cinnamon flavor.

Oh my. The skies separated and these Al Pastor tacos fell from heaven. Beautiful achiote flavor, thinly sliced piña, fresh tortillas, the absolute best al pastor I've had in LA.
The people are what makes all the difference. Some of the best people work here. They were very courteous and generous with portions and important sidekicks like lime. Dear taquerias of LA: Lime goes on tacos, not lemon. Give lime. It makes people happy and it makes a difference.
Do not follow Google maps, this truck often parks @Sepulveda and @Venice off the 405. They have nice low -key seating. This place is a must visit for LA al pastor enthusiasts. I would go back in a heartbeat.

No, I normally do not leave reviews but this place really just annoyed me right now. I’m trying to eat healthy and I asked for a burrito bowl no tortilla and I said no rice as clear as day. I also said I wanted pasta and not Carne Asada as you see, I got Carne Asada And I got a ton of rice. I went back to show them and she told me that it was a little bit of rice and that she wrote down Asada, even though eyes clear as they told her no rice more than once, and I said I would like pastor and then have the nerve to look at me and tell me that it was $14 when I placed the order. This place is whack I did not recommend this place she didn’t even offer to give me a new plate. They have lost a customer. 👎🏾

Delicious! We got the al pastor tacos with pineapple on top. Love the fresh cucumber in the full salsa bar. Highly recommend! I put three stars for atmosphere because you sit along the sidewalk. No issue but FYI.

This place is really good and good prices but I don’t understand why they can’t let people know when they’re going to be closed. I drove through a lot of traffic to come here and they were cleaning and said it would
be about 30 minutes. Then the guy kind of gave me attitude when I asked if they were closed at that time every day. So what time are y’all closed each day?
